Soccer Mommy, the project of Nashville’s Sophie Allison, has shared “Rings of Saturn,” her first new single since 2024’s Evergreen. Produced by Elliott Kozel (Rosalía, Björk, SZA, Slow Pulp, Indigo De Souza), the track marks the start of a new chapter for Allison.
She’s described the song as coming out of a period of feeling lost, written during stretches spent looking through a telescope at the moon and planets as a way of feeling small enough to set the weight down for a while. The single is paired with a visualiser from Suji Park, viewable in the link below.
The release follows a run supporting Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney, and lands just ahead of a co-headline US tour with Snail Mail — a pairing fans have been waiting on for years, given how closely the two friends’ careers have grown alongside each other since they started out.
